Where Forma fits

Football club management software for the football side of your club

Forma manages the football-development side of a club — methodology, curriculum, training delivery, observations, evaluations and player development. It does not handle registrations, payments, billing, uniforms or general scheduling and admin.

Most software sold as club management software runs the administration of a club. Forma runs the football. If you need both, they sit alongside each other, and this page explains the line between them.

What Forma manages

The technical work a club is actually judged on

Everything below is one connected system rather than separate tools.

  • Football methodology

Your playing model structured into game moments, principles, sub-principles and observable behaviours, reviewed and approved by your technical staff.

  • Curriculum

Season curricula in cycles and weeks per age group, so progression across the club is deliberate.

  • Training delivery

An activity library with tactical diagrams, session plans built from the week's concepts, and Practice Mode for running the session on the pitch.

  • Observations

Structured evidence from training and matches, recorded against the club's own principles and behaviours.

  • Player evaluations

Evaluation cycles including player self-evaluation, comparable over seasons rather than filed and forgotten.

  • Individual development plans

IDPs with priorities and goals drafted from a player's own evidence, approved by their coach, with at-home work attached.

  • Development intelligence

Player, team and club-wide development signals with the evidence behind them.

  • Technical leadership visibility

A technical attention queue and a weekly technical brief for the people running the academy.

Be clear about this

What Forma does not replace

If you are looking primarily for club administration software, Forma is not that product.

Forma does not handle registrations, payments, billing, kit and uniform ordering, or the general scheduling and operational admin that runs a club as a business. Clubs that need those things keep using the administrative system they already have.

We say that plainly because the alternative wastes everyone's time. A club that buys Forma expecting an invoicing system will be disappointed, and a club that buys an administrative platform expecting it to implement their playing model will be disappointed in a slower and more expensive way.

What Forma is built for is the part most clubs have no system for at all: making sure the football philosophy the club believes in is the one that reaches the training pitch every week, and that there is evidence of what happened when it did.

A familiar situation

Why clubs come looking for this

A generalised version of a very common club scenario.

A club runs a dozen or more teams across age groups. Administration is handled: registrations go through one system, schedules and parent communication through another. On paper the club is well run.

Then the technical director is asked a simple question — are we developing players the way we say we do? — and there is no system that can answer it. The playing model is a PDF. Session content varies by whichever coach is running the group. Observations exist as scattered notes. Evaluations are a form completed twice a year with no evidence attached.

Nothing in the administrative stack is designed to answer that question, because it was never the job of an administrative system. That is the gap Forma fills.

Evaluating

How to compare the two kinds of system

Different questions, different products.

  • Ask an admin platform

Can we register players, take payments, publish schedules, manage availability and communicate with families in one place?

  • Ask Forma

Is our methodology structured and shared? Is it reaching sessions? What evidence do we hold on each player? What does the club-wide picture say this month?

  • Ask both

Which system owns which data, who administers it, and how each one fits the way your staff already work?

Talk it through

See it against your own club

If you are mid-evaluation, the quickest way to place Forma next to your existing systems is to walk through it with your own club structure. Book a demo and we will walk through it with your age groups, your methodology and your season in mind.

Next step

Manage the football side properly

Keep your administrative platform. Give the football work a system of its own.
